Sure, I'm loving my new shirt. But I'm not loving the dust all over the mirror. Or the un-made bed and open drawers. And under my feet are stacks of not-yet put away laundry. And that darn bathroom is still pink.
Just keeping it real for you folks who believe my house is always clean. Smoke and mirrors people. Smoke and mirrors.

So I was having this idea the other day... we technically have an eat-in kitchen (and a dining room too, but that's beside the point). We never eat in the kitchen though, and weren't using this weird table we had in there, so we craiglist-ed it. But now I have this giant space at the end of my kitchen and have NO clue what to put there. I literally stared at it the other day and thought "what would Liz do?". :) So if you're bored some day, I would love to send you a picture of the end of my kitchen and would LOVE your ideas on what kind of object (table? rack? anything?) to fill the space. You can tell me I'm crazy, but I love your style and think it's close to my own.

Smoke and mirrors at my house too. Not to worry my dear, none of us is perfect. Hubby likes the windows open on cool days so guess what? THERE'S DUST IN MY HOUSE ON EVERY SURFACE!! Ack.

Uncomplicateme...I have the same deal going on. Right now I have my toddler's table in there so she still has a place to "work" while I am cooking. Working nicely for the time being. My kitchen is very small though, I could stand to put in an island or some other work space.

Your bedroom looks like such a cozy retreat, unmade bed and all.
Ha!! I took a picture recently of two little lamps I put on my bedroom dresser to the show the guy I bought them from...only to see the reflection of my unmade bed and a wayward "floor bra" that missed the laundry basket. Good times.
