My Sister's Mind

This is the stuffed octopus that Rachel made for Jane as a Christmas present.

Of everything Jane recieved (and let me tell you folks, it was a lot thanks to four crazy grandparents), this is her absolute favorite.
One side of the octopus is happy, the other mad.
I'd love to spend a day inside Rachel's mind. I'd love to know where in the world she comes up with her art and projects.

Anyway. It's Jane's favorite. We need to name him. I vote for Ollie.

I vote for Gustov! Cute, but watch out for those buttons (I'm actually just saying that because I think it's fun to pass on annoying kid safety remarks that others have said to me, it keeps the circle of nosyness going)

How cute! Ollie reminds me of a rag doll my grandma made for me when I was a toddler (I still have it, forty years later!). It, too, is a two-sided doll. I named the "pretty" side "Penelope", because at the time, it was the most beautiful name I could think of. I named the "ugly" side "Gertrude" for the inverse reason. I always called it "Gertrude and Penelope". Thanks for a great memory!

Calvin had an octopus we named Idelette (after John Calvin's wife).

Lola Long Legs is my pick.

And Rachel needs a shop on etsy selling these cute little creations.

Ollie is a great Octopus name! I love his angry face especially.

that is so cute - I love how it has two different faces. And Ollie is a great name.

So cute! I made a stuffed elephant for my little one, thinking that I would make an entire 'herd' but it was so difficult that "Ellie" stands alone :) Bravo to your talented sister!
