Winter Duds

There's just something sad about this span of time that stretches between Christmas and spring. It's dreary. It's long. It's cold. But I've figured out a way to combat it. Pink coats.

No matter how dead the grass is, or how hard the wind blows, or how icy your windshield... a pink coat makes everything better.

Or maybe it's just me.

That is insanely cute. I've also dumped some drab coats this year and replaced them with three new ones: a vintage plaid wool full-length coat from the 1970s, a bright red raincoat for spring, and a bright blue corduroy one I just made for the 30-50 degree range. I feel much hppier myself. :)

Any color is good this time of the year with the lackluster brown leaves and grass outdoors. Pink is good!

LOVE! I have a pink raincoat that cheers me up on dreary days... something for everyday might be nice too.

@AandW @missris Yep, it's Anthropologie. It's discontinued, but I found it on ebay for pretty cheap over Christmas break. :)

Liz, I found a way to combat the dreariness of our gray winter here in ATL . . . I read your book! Truly loved it, every word. Hope you don't mind but I blogged about it here:

Thanks for writing it. It brought colors to my day.

What a beautiful coat! And I agree with Nicole, it looks lovely with your adorable haircut. I think January and February are the worst months of the year, but I combat them with hot showers and The Body Shop's coconut line. I can't afford 2 months in the tropics, but I can feel like I'm there for 15 minutes each day. It's heavenly. :)

You look adorable in yours.

Pink color coat definitely makes you feel good in the cold winter. Pink is a lighter and softer and it is less violent red. It is the sweet side of the red color. In the winter, Luray, Virginia is an ideal place and
